Katie had a fussy day...not sure why. Today in church I referred to a quote from the old Relief Society Manual (Come Unto Me, p.4). The full quote is: "We need the support of our sisters in the gospel at all times, but especially when adversity comes into our lives. 'The brotherhood and sisterhood of the gospel is never more priceless than at such times when it is needed most. Social aloneness leads to aloneness of the spirit, and that is the ultimate tragedy'... No woman need feel alone when she is sustained by the love of the sisters of the Relief Society. - Everyone needs associations with others, 'for none of us liveth to himself' (Romans 14:7)"
I affirm this to be true. "Social support" leads to an increase of the spirit. Today I am glad for being sustained by the love of my sisters in Relief Society and all others who have strengthened and supported us. Please keep praying for Katie!
So true, I believe God made women this way, to need the love and encouragement of our friends. Praying for Katie today. Hugs ~ Mary in VA
