Katie wouldn't eat breakfast again and only ate a couple bites of lunch - she did eat dinner though. This afternoon Katie wanted her toenails painted, but the twist is, she wanted her dad to paint them. Nathan came in halfway through and asked if his dad could help him with something. I told him his dad was painting Katie's toenails. Nathan said, "that's...awkward.". I told him that wasn't awkward. I said, "now if dad were painting his toenails, or Conner's, then THAT would be awkward." I told him, "Your dad painting Katie's toenails is just about the sweetest thing I have ever seen!" - Of course the batteries in the camera were dead - so I told Scott he will have to do it again. Today we are glad to have such a sweet daddy.
President David O. McKay said: "Every person who lives in this world wields an influence, whether for good or for evil. It is not what he says alone; it is not alone what he does. It is what he is....every person radiates what he or she really is...It is what we are and what we radiate that affects the people around us" (Man May Know for Himself,108).
That really IS the sweetest thing ever! Thanks for that quote - it really got me thinking about what I am radiating to others. Katie is always in our prayers!
