Katie had a good day. She did some things today that she hasn't been able to do since she got sick. She got out of bed this morning and came in my room to wake me up. Later, she scooted down the stairs on her bum bum. I was very surprised to find her downstairs and not upstairs where I left her! She was in a better mood today, even though she was up at least 3 times last night, with her tummy hurting. This morning I took Katie and Conner to buy donuts for breakfast, and then tonight we went out to dinner for Scott's dad's birthday. I am wanting her go and do while she still can. We are trying to make the most of each day. It was so fun to watch her play with her dolls are barbies today. She is such a sweet girl and she makes me laugh.
"We talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ...that our children may know to what source they may look for a remission of their sins." (2 Nephi 25:26) "It is not enough simply for parents to provide food and shelter for their children's physical well-being. There is an equal responsibility to provide nourishment and direction to the spirit and the mind and the heart." (Gordon B. Hickley) What a huge responsibility we have to our children! I am so grateful for the gift Heavenly Father gave me, in allowing me the privilege, of having children in this life. My children have brought new meaning and joy to my life, that is beyond description. I am thankful everyday for them. What a blessing they are! What a gift! I love them so very much!
